Common questions
How do the free 30 days work?
Grocerelle is free for your first 30 days, counted from the day you first use it. No card is needed. You can try it without an account for up to 7 days; after that, create a free account to keep everything you've built for the rest of your 30 days. When the 30 days are up, continued access is $3.99 per month. You're only charged if you choose to subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
It depends on where you subscribed:
- In the iPhone app: your subscription is billed by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Grocerelle, and cancel.
- On the web: sign in at grocerelle.com, tap the Settings (gear) button at the top of the app to open Your Preferences, then tap “Manage subscription.” This opens a page where you can manage or cancel your subscription.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel first.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, sign in and tap the Settings (gear) button at the top to open Your Preferences. Tap “Delete account,” then “Delete forever.” This permanently deletes your account, recipes, staples, carts, meal plans, photos, and share links. It can't be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you're subscribed, cancel first (see above) so you aren't charged again. You can also ask for deletion by emailing support@grocerelle.com from the address on your account.
How do shared cart links work?
When you share a cart, you choose the name your guest sees, and Grocerelle creates a link. Anyone with that link can see and edit that one cart in real time, and you see their changes. They don't see your email, your other carts, or your saved recipes, and they don't need an account to open it.
Cart links stop working automatically after 7 days. To end one sooner, open the share window again and tap “Stop sharing.”
Sharing a single recipe works differently: it creates a link to a copy of that recipe that others can view and save. Recipe links don't expire, and they're deleted if you delete your account.
Where can I find the Privacy Policy and Terms?
Read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. Both are also linked from Your Preferences inside the app.
